Dear Friends,

So sad to hear about what is going on in Afghanistan... Just wanted to add my two cents' worth about how blame is being passed around with fingers being pointed at either the Biden or the Trump administration for the horror taking place: quite simply, it is the Taliban, the group that has seized power, that is to blame for this recent outburst of violence, no one else. Rather than create further division in an already polarized world, it would be more fruitful to stay focused on getting those who are now at risk of being killed to get out of the country to safety.
